Austin January joined Benton Luttrell Company in 2020 and is the Employee Benefit Practice Leader. Tasked with developing and launching a new Division for BLC as the firm continues to grow and serve the greater North Texas area. Austin has served his entire professional career in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and began his insurance career in 2011 as a consultant for the largest Human Capital Management technology and service provider in the United States. During that time Austin was able to identify major gaps between the product of insurance and the importance of employee engagement. As a result, Austin is committed to providing thought leadership and holistic strategies of innovation, technology, and advocacy to BLC clients and the insurance industry. Originally from a small town in central Texas, Austin is a proud graduate of Abilene Christian University where he earned a degree in marketing and lead several student organizations. Still actively involved within the ACU community today you can find him cheering for the ACU Wildcat sports teams or at an alumni event. Austin and his wife Keidy have two children, Alexa and Jax. When they aren’t attending a dance recital or at a t-ball game their loves include playing competitive board games, going to the arcade or at the park.  

Austin holds licenses in Accident, Health, Life, Variable Life & Variable Annuity as well as Property and Casualty. Additionally, Austin sits on the Benefitmall Broker Advisory Council, ELAP Certified and is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and DallasHR.
