Roger B. Luttrell is the President of Benton Luttrell Company, a position he has held since 1996 when the Luttrell Agency and the Benton Agency merged to form one of the largest and oldest Consulting Firms in North Texas.  Roger launched the Luttrell Agency in 1981 after returning to the North Texas area from Houston where he was part of the leadership team of the Continental Insurance Companies.  Roger had a vision of bringing the vast insurance expertise he obtained at the Continental Insurance Companies combined with true servant leadership to the Grayson County area. This passion and vision materialized as a result of knowing the area he grew up in was severally underserved. Not only is Roger a third generation Texan; Roger is also a proud Kangaroo, having played for the Austin College football team and graduating with both a bachelors and master’s degree. 

Residing in Howe for most of his career, Roger was a ranking member the city council, member of the Lion’s Club, Rotary Club, President of the School Board, and Howe’s Citizen of the year in 2005. Additionally, Roger is an Austin College Distinguished Alum, Paul Harris Fellow and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).  Roger has been on the Agency Council for several insurance carriers, along with being on the Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT).  Roger has also served as President and Chairman of the Combined Agents of America (CAA) for many years. 

Roger is married to Bunny, his wife of 42 years, with 3 grown children.  They have 8 grandchildren.  Roger & Bunny live in Van Alstyne & Angel Fire, New Mexico.  He enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, and cooling off in the mountains. 

Roger’s greatest professional pride is that the Benton Luttrell company has never lost focus that insurance is a “people helping people business.”  As technology changes rapidly, he makes sure the culture at BLC is as focused on our client/partners as they were 40 years ago.
